There is not much news to report on. The routine of food distribution is established and continues. In the last weeks, Convoy of Hope provided Adoration with water purification buckets which the team was able to hand out to each of the families. More and more people are coming out and the team is currently feeding about 140 families.
Planning and preparation continues for the future, both temporary and permanent. The Lord willing, a team will be going down this week to prepare a property which will house the church, school and medical centre temporarily. Much prayer is needed. We ask you to help us in bringing the following needs before the Lord:
- Country of Haiti in General: Rebuilding, Food, Health, Healing, Safety, that the nation would turn to God
- Our Students and their families: That they can find a place where they can be safe and stay dry, as the raining season is upon us. That they could be healthy and find comfort in the LORD.
- Ben Hopp’s (OPC missionary) Work Team right now – blessing on their work and also safety. Our work team coming in this week: that they can get all the preps done they need to and that we can be a blessing to each other.
- Prayers for wisdom as we make plans for the future: that our future work will by God’s grace have a positive impact and will help families serve God and their neighbour and that support for resources needed to execute plans will continue.
- Prayers for a solution to the problem of the old school. Big machinery has not been found to take it down and it is currently not safe.
- That the LORD would open up doors for us to share the message of Jesus Christ with the Haitian people.
- Prayers for the health and safety of the Adoration Team in Haiti as well as for Karen Lodder who hopes to travel to Haiti at the end of the month and stay over for the Easter weekend.
