On January 12, 2010, the Lord in His sovereign good will took to Himself Luc Guerdeson, Samuel Marcelin, and Mackson Aristil. They will be greatly missed by staff, students and families. Luc Guerdeson Guerdeson, also affectionately known as Kenson, was a greatly appreciated member of the ACC staff. He was loved by all who knew him. He had a special way with the students at ACS, gentle but always firm. He knew the face and name of every single student at ACS and all the staff and students at ACS felt a deep respect for him. It is also no secret that without Guerdeson the medical clinic would never function in the organized manner that it did. It was often said that he had the hardest job at ACC. Each morning of the clinic, Guerdeson had the difficult job of allowing just the right amount of people into the waiting area to see Dr Ed. His calm and caring personality enabled him to successfully do this each day with minimal difficulty. Guerdeson was also a personal friend and his bright smile and obvious love for God and others will be greatly missed each and every day.Samuel Marcelin Samuel has taught both Grade one and Grade two at Adoration Christian School. He took his job very seriously and was often dismayed when students didn’t finish their homework or didn’t try hard enough in class. He was on the shy side and didn’t like the limelight. When asked to speak at assemblies he always complied but didn’t enjoy being in the spotlight for long. He was very strict with his students, but it was always evident that he genuinely cared for them. He had a very likeable character and got along well with his co-workers and friends. He was a good teacher and a close friend, he will be greatly missed at ACS. Mackson Aristil Mackson has been a student at ACS for quite some time. He graduated from ACS in Grade 5 and continued his studies at Chima Elementary School where he was preparing to write the Grade 6 government exam in June. He was an easy going student with a very dry sense of humour. He was a hard worker and came each week to volunteer at ACS, assisting with the cleaning of the school building. He enjoyed playing sports and never missed a tournament basketball game. He took school seriously and worked hard scoring well in most subject areas. His presence will be greatly missed at ACS and we grieve with his family over the loss of his young life. |
